Guys just wanna thank you all for staying tuned in so closely lately. Videos are doing awesome, the team is killin it, I’m fired up!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

11:50 You are in the process of building a car. At this point, why not add a crush cell directly in front of the oil pan. It is basically a box made of aluminum that is designed to take the majority of the hit, if you do stand it on two wheels.

Just wait till Kevin "scales" ya later!! Ha ha just kiddin brother great content! You guys are Killin it 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇲🦅

Who car is this is it your own car or someone Ells
Күн мурунKyle Brace
Wow this thing looks incredible really can’t wait to see what this is going to be come and how fast is this going to be would be really cool to see a new fastest car in the fleet and the L Camino could definitely be that that car so please let’s make this over 1500 bhp
Күн мурунGaryLordsWayMinistry
Man it looks like that oil pan is going to be history if it wheelies and comes down hard. That is why I like wheelie bars to keep it from happening or at least trying to keep it from happening and ruining the track for everyone behind you.
Күн мурунJohn Webber
Hey Cleetus, My comment is a little late, but as I watched Kevin talk about the trans cooler, I wanted to suggest that you take extra measures to protect the bottom of the oil pan in the event you pull a wheelie. As I suggested before on another video, have Kevin make a slam proof cage around the oil pan so you don't have to weld up the oil pan at the strip. I suggest you design a full protective cage around the oil pan that can be removed and installed quickly should you need to do any work on the bottom of the car.

Cleetus and Kevin are a great combination in videos: Kevin with his attention to detail and creativity, and cleetus keeping it fun, light, and always moving on. What a great balance.

What engine is in the elco right now i can‘t remember where cleeter said it

How much does a carbon drive shaft like that cost?
5 күн мурунSebastian Scarpaci
why don't they get wheelie bars so they can leave with more power.
6 күн мурунRyan McCormick
It needs the Grand National nose swap!
6 күн мурунSemper Fi
Please........No wheelies!!! There expensive and they don't win races.

You should get a cap to put on the bed of it so when you go on race week and stuff, you can put that on and you can stack some things in the bed so it is able to hold more and less likely need a trailer
8 күн мурунTim graham
Cleet.. You mean completion? If so I'll take a shirt. Thanks
8 күн мурунTony Crack
Matt the El Chromino owner is gonna be really jealous. An absolute beauty of a build.

Hemi vs. Ninja
Wheelie bars must be against class rules or something because none of the cars have them which would easily solve the wheelie problem
8 күн мурунJonathan Larsson
A camper shell would look awesome on Mullet during Drag Week! Might even be able to fit everything without having a trailer.
8 күн мурунBryan G
Good Lord! You're gonna have to fabricate a weight to go in the back of that monster!!! Something that will bolt down ....

The exhaust running that close won't heat the bearings on the Turbskis?
10 күн мурунJake Combs
nothing crazy in this video. no crazy live action. just a simple update. that’s what makes cleet the best. simple guy. love it

Sweet! I'm in the middle of doing an LS project for my El Camino. Mine's an '84 I've had for 20 years now.
11 күн мурунNathan Powers
I am ignorant, why not just use a wheelie bar?
11 күн мурунJannick
Maybe stupid question: Wouldn't it be easier to use a safety net from a GT3 car, they dont need the rod on top, they just klick in at the A pillar.
11 күн мурунC W
Dang it’s safe to say if I had the money..Kevin is #1 on my list to build me my dream car! His attention to detail is unreal.💯
11 күн мурунAllen Nuss
If the car is just a little tall for the stacker you can collapse the suspension with simple ratchet straps during transport and then remove them once the car is on the ground at the race track. This is a simple thing we do when cars are to tall for our race car trailer.

Why don’t you guys just use a wheelie bar?

How many people would rather have the technology that Kevin at KSR puts into a new car ..instead of what GM, Dodge, and Ford put in their new cars

Kevin and KSR are building an absolutely beautiful ride!

Aren't those Turbos gonna get extra hot and not work as well as they would if the exhaust would be routed a different place??? Serious question!!

Damn Brother !!!
12 күн мурунTom Unexplained
Can you explain like I'm 5 how the hell a 2 step works?
12 күн мурунTom Unexplained
@Martin Mortensen that is cool, thank you. so like pumping your foot on the throttle really really fast? Are there extra parts involved or is it all computer based? I have essentially zero experience with anything race car related. I just love following Cleetus's story, he seems genuine and it's all good fun seems like a legit good group of dudes. The 2 step is just one of the things I genuinely don't understand because I've never seen it in person, hopefully someday I can make it down to an event and see it all in person! Hell yeah brother!!
10 күн мурунMartin Mortensen
cuts out rpm at a certain rev range, makes the turbo built boost, so you have the most power on tap for launch
12 күн мурунJohnny Char
How come you don't run wheelie bars? Would that put you in a different class?

I’m sure that you’ve thought about it but I was just wondering that hot pipe right next to the turbo isn’t going to mess with the temp of the bearings. I’m not sure just asking. Great job man. Ps I’m talking about on long drives like at race week

six point belts, aka balls/weenie savers LOL. whom in the world would have ever cranked that belt down tight (likely not even a female!) certainly more comfortable for all humanity!
13 күн мурунBlake H
If you have air tanks on board.. why not put air jacks under the chassis. No need for jack or stands???
13 күн мурунthrottle bottle
I have to say, all that computer magic controlled stuff is great, until it isn't :)) one little firmware/coding bug/electrical or computer glitch and hang on for a good time, because anything and everything could happen in a chain failure instantly.
13 күн мурунthrottle bottle
KSR seems like a smart and inventive fella that jumps and works around hurdles quickly, seemingly backed by his team. don't lose that team of help by all means!
13 күн мурунthrottle bottle
it's nice having a whole removeable front body. way easier access to all ;)
13 күн мурунBaggerBro
That car is sooooooo freaking nasty !!!!!!
13 күн мурунRalph Pruitt
You allowed to use a wheelie bar???
13 күн мурунDoug Tond
What a fucking NERD! 🤓 I LOVE THIS GUY!!!
13 күн мурунchad myob
What size precision turbos are they?
13 күн мурунJonathan Laboy
because they don't use an electric clutch like the AC one for the pump so they can run normal on gasoline
13 күн мурунHockeypickles23

I would move that hot pipe further from my turbo and have it go out somewhere else that doesn’t mess with taking in the cold air near by

13 күн мурунJesse Burge
I really hope your using straight methanol so you can save weight for the radiator

13 күн мурунDevon Adams
Can someone explain why they can't just run a wheelie bar? Would they get kicked out of their classes or what. I mean leory is already in with the big dogs. Why not add some security
